Val d´Aran photographic services
Val d´Aran is wonderful gracier valley in the north of Lleida Province.
This beautiful valley is the
source of Garona River, one of the longest and
widest rivers of France, and has a great diversity of mountain and forest
habitats that allow us the observation of an incredible variety of flowers and
animals.
During the present year, WildWatchingSpain agency and the wildlife photographer Javi Montes, are working in the instalation of several photographic hides that will be available in the next weeks.
During the spring, it will be possible access to our Pyrenean
Capercaillie photographic hides, this activity is strictly regulated by the Val
d´Aran Government, and the priority is avoid disturbances 
in the leks. The
hides are installed is some of the best capercaillie leks in the Pyrenees.
At this area, we can find six different species of woodpeckers too. In the low side, around the atlantic oak forest we can find Middle Spotted Woodpecker, Gerat Spotted Woodpecker, Eurasian Wryneck, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker and Green Woodpecker, and in the high forest areas, in Beech and Pine forest, is quite common the Black Woodpecker.
Equally we can find some interesting passerines, for example the Ring Ouzel, Crossbill, Citril finch, Snowfinch, Walllcrepeer and Alpine Accentor.
With cold weather in winter will be available our raptor photographic hides and vultures, one of the for Goldel Eagle and the other one for Red Kite and Lammergeier.
Finally we don´t want to forget the marmots, a beautiful rodent that is very common in the valley and that can give us fantastic photographic seasons.
