Our extensive experience guiding trips for observation and photography of the aurora borealis on the Scandinavian coast makes us to re-propose a trip to enjoy these natural wonders this autumn. And it is that this kind of observations are those from which it is impossible to get tired; each visit and each aurora are different to the previous ones, so you always see something new in each issue.

The dates chosen are a good time to travel to the arctic circle with the aim to observe and photograph northern lights since we have a reasonable number of hours of light, that allow us to explore and enjoy the beautiful corners of the Scandinavian coast, as well as even many hours of darkness for the northern lights.

We are going to travel back to the arctic circle from 20h to 25th October 2020, guided as always by Alex Martinez, one of the people with more experience in auroras and who better know the scandinavian countries.

For northern lights watching and photography is so important de activity and the intensity of lights as the landscapes where we will enjoy of this phenomenon. The landscape is very important for the quality of photography and one of the most beautiful artic landscapes can be found here, around the coastal islands nearby to Tromso city.

Here we are going to travel to contemplate all a mosaic of channels, fjords, boreal forest and tundra that will allow us to enjoy one of the most beautiful spectacles of the nature.

Our daily routine therefore will be to take maximum advantage of the hours of light, in which in addition to photographing and observing wildlife, we will go by locating suitable locations for our waiting for the aurora borealis.

During our daily departures we at every step with reindeer, moose, owls, partridges, eiders... Without a doubt we will have the opportunity to capture unique moments and very interesting of the fauna of the area.

We will have dinner on a daily basis early to later move and take advantage of the last hours of the afternoon and in the evening to contemplate the purpose of our trip: the northern lights.

In the afternoon we will travel to Sommaroy to rest and dinner. We will take the vehicle back to move later to another point on the coast, away from the village, where to carry out our second session of auroras. We must always have on hand a cup of coffee or a hot tea to make us more enjoyable night waiting and more bearable the coolness of autumn.
