Introduction

The spring is a fantastic moment for brown bear observation in the Cantabrian mountains.

During this season, take place several factors that brings to bears to abandon the forest security and be more easily watched them in mountain pastures.

The consumption of herbaceus sp. is one of the few available trophic resources at this moment, in consecuence is an important feeding source for bears, that try to eat as many as possible to recover fastly from the hibernation.

In the same way, the mating season plays an important role during this weeks: the males are very busy tracking females and sometimes are less cautious than usual.

Are not extraordinaries the observations of 3 or 4 adults together following females.

The fresh days invite to bears to stretch the daily activity on, the beautiful springtime landscapes of these corners of the Cantabrian mountains, it´s the gastronomy and fascinating ethnology of these villages make of this trip an unforgettable experience.
